NEWSWATCH: While ANC secretary general Gwede Mantashe is reported by News24.com to have said that the ANC is generally pleased with the report the Press Freedom Commission released yesterday, he's not completely happy with a couple of issues... And on "that painting" front, the ANC is going to court today to stop the Goodman Gallery in Johannesburg and City Press displaying a painting of Zuma with his genitals exposed, reports Moneyweb.co.za. It seems the ANC is generally OK with the report the Press Freedom Commission issued yesterday, saying real progress had been made when it comes to handling media complaints and so on. However, Mantashe wasn't happy with some reporters, whom he described as "lazy", and as for "that painting"... Well, he had a couple of things to say about that.

The governing party is going all out to have the painting removed from view, but Zuma is not alone in being the subject of a controversial painting... Over in Canada, that country's prime minister Stephen Harper doesn't have a stitch on, and that's got Canadians talking. There happens to be a dog in the picture, which explains this... "Harper spokesman Andrew MacDougall has tweeted that they aren't impressed with the painting - everyone knows the prime minister is a cat person." Now there's a different way to handle things...
