Dear Sir/Madam,
I have spent no less than 15 years in senior IT management positions working for mid-sized to large company's operating in one specific geographic location to mid-sized companies operating across multiple regions and large listed multi-nationals.
I have worked in start-up environments, green field environments or organisations that have been around for an extended period of time. My role has however always focussed on turnaround strategies or the creation of a new environment or organisational structure to accommodate growth, expansion or new ventures.
My job titles are a good indication of the experience I have gained: Project Manager, Program Manager, Senior Project and Program Manager, Divisional Manager for IT, Group IT Manager, IT Consultant, CIO, GM IT and most recently GM IT- Global application support.
My industry experience spans a wide variety of industries including, but not limited to, financial services, short term insurance, IT solutions consulting, Contract Logistics, Distribution, Emergency services, Travel and Tourism, Contact Centres, Retail, Field Marketing, Pharmaceuticals, Motor Industry, Messaging to name a few.
My skills are varied and encompass all aspects of a Senior IT Execs standard skill set with some additional more unique skills. My skills include- Project and Program Management, SDLC, CDLC, Budget formulation and control, Compliance, IT Audit, Business Analysis, Process Optimisation, Innovation, HR Management, Resource optimisation, Strategic planning and alignment, Vendor Management, Service Delivery, Service Desk, Policy formulation and enforcement, Development of KPI's at an IT and business level, Problem Management, Risk Management, Quality management.
Technically my skills cover all aspects of an IT organisation including Networking, Security, Development, LAN, WAN, Virtualisation, data centre migrations, Integration, SOA, Contact Centre platforms, a large variety of development languages, solution architecture and design, ERP systems, COBIT, ITIL.
My strong technical skills and well above average business acumen have allowed me to make significant changes within the organisations that I have worked for and in many instances their client organisations.
I am looking for a new challenge that will allow me to use the wealth of experience and skills that I already have to add value to my new employer within a relatively short time period and to grow my own personal skill set further.
I look forward to discussing this opportunity with you shortly. Please find CV attached.
Yours faithfully
