I am currently a research analyst at DStv Media Sales in Johannesburg. All my life I've wanted to be in advertising/marketing/branding, but my career took a different path and I ended up in media – close enough to the dream. Last year the dream to be in advertising was re-sparked and that's when I decided to take the bull by its horns and enroll at Vega School of Brand Leadership. My experience at Vega changed my life. I had a marketing diploma already from NMMU but Vega's closeness to the advertising industry, our lecturers who worked in the industry including for companies like Ogilvy made me even hungrier to be a part of this exciting world. The lessons they taught us were invaluable. One of my favourite modules at Vega was Integrated Brand Communication.
