This is really fascinating research. Most probably a breakthrough in terms of really understanding consumers' minds.
Related to this research could be understanding why sports fans are so fanatical about their brand (team). If marketers could understand/analyze this, they will be able to really understand how to create brand support - and make the investment in brand building really productive.
