Math and art meet at Vanguard
The Vanguard: A month where math meets art exhibition will be on at the Young Blood Art Gallery in Cape Town from 5-25 October 2017. The exhibition is a collaboration between Dreamer Education and Youngblood Arts and Culture Development and is aimed at showcasing the arts as a tool for maths education.

Wavescape Festival
The Wavescape Festival in Cape Town, an ocean-minded event, included film screenings, art exhibitions, ocean talks, filmmaking workshops and a charity auction. A record R328,000 was raised and will be making its way to four important ocean causes.

FutureMe launches #WoWFestival
FutureMe held their first World of Work (WoW) festival on 25 November at Christel House School in Cape Town. The social enterprise, aimed at addressing the youth unemployment crisis in South Africa, introduced the festival as an interactive event for learners and employers to gain first-hand exposure to a vast array of careers and employers.

Lebo Sekhotla wins international university award, first African to do so
On 10 June 2015, Lebo Sekhotla was awarded the international 'Here for Good' Award for youth empowerment work at a gala dinner in Miami, Florida, attended by higher education leaders and dignitaries including Condoleezza Rice. There is only one such award annually from hundreds of entries from 90 universities all over the globe, she is the first student in Africa to win this award.
