@Ally Oh: I agree completely on the subjectivity of advertising. The point of the article was more that the general feeling that there is a proliferation of bad adverts (relative to bad examples across other industries) coupled with a failure to recognise good adverts could be creating a cognitive illusion around the level of advertising in general.
