The Botswana Government subsidized school feeding scheme, which was implemented on 1 September 2003, ensures that more than 370 000 Botswana learners enjoy a balanced meal every school day. Parmalat Botswana supports this initiative by distributing 125 000 litres of milk to the primary schools every week of the school calender in a major logistical effort, ensuring each pupil receives a 340 ml portion of milk each Thursday. The milk is produced in Port Elizabeth.
