The first instalment of the 2018 Top Women Conferences was held on 15 March 2018 at the Crystal Towers Hotel in Cape Town. These conferences are aimed at responding to the pertinent questions surrounding the barriers to success for women entrepreneurs, with a showcase of some of South Africa's most influential business achievers.
SmileFM's Smile to the Rescue with Bobby and Lindy rallied its listeners to help Elsanne Kamffer make her home more wheelchair friendly. Kamffer was shot by her ex-husband in October 2017. She was left paralysed from under her arms after a bullet passed through her lower spine.
User experience design director Mark Kamau recently delivered a talk at the Design Conference 2018 that was centred around the development of the Kio Kit. The design director also spoke on his vision for the future and the missions he wishes to complete.

The first day of the Design Indaba Conference 2018 is complete. The first speaker of the day was Sunu Gonera who delivered an interpretation of Afrofuturism. Zach Lieberman, Edel Rodriguez, Lonny van Ryswyck, Aleksandra Gosiewski, Sam and Rob Paddock, Tomo Kihara, Morag Myerscough, Shaakira Jassat, and Thomas Heatherwick followed thereafter by covering various topics.
As part of its #SpreadTheJoySA summer campaign, Aquellé has initiated a tour to Durban, Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town to promote its limited edition collection of flavoured drinks.
The new flavours are granadilla, watermelon and apple. The tour has life-size characters named 'Granadilla', 'Watermelon' and 'Apple' for each new flavour. The characters visit each city and do various activities to bring awareness to the brand.
