[Daniel Dercksen] It is magical films like The Odd Life Of Timothy Green that remind us why we go to the movies. Cloud Atlas for beginners
[Daniel Dercksen] If there is one film that is going to change the way that you see filmmaking, visual storytelling and the human condition, in the same way Terrence Malick's The Tree of Life did, it's Cloud Atlas, an epic sci-fi drama that is every bit as much of a head-trip as the film that made the Wachowskis famous 13 years ago, The Matrix. 1 Nov 2012 12:04

Fear at its most extreme
[Daniel Dercksen] When a film is called The Possession and it begins with an ominous soundtrack and a warning that "the following is based on true events", suspending disbelief is optional. If the titles reveal that it is produced by horror maestro Sam Raimi, who changed the face of horror with The Evil Dead, and made by Ghost House Pictures, you are pretty much unnerved before paranormal events arise. 29 Oct 2012 09:53
