2012 CLIO Awards - SA winners
NEW YORK, US: The awards evening for the winners of the 2012 CLIO Awards, one of the world's most recognised awards competitions honouring excellence in advertising, design and communications, was held last night. Among the winners - out of more than 11 000 submissions from around the world, were a number of South African entries.
Winning agencies receiving the Grand CLIO Awards this year included Japan's Projector, Tunisia's Memac Ogilvy Label and the United States' Creative Artists Agency in collaboration with Chipotle, in the categories of Interactive, Innovative Media and Film, respectively. The CLIO Awards honoured BBDO New York as Agency of the Year, Ogilvy & Mather as Network of the Year, Smuggler as Production Company of the Year, Volkswagen as Advertiser of the Year and Wieden+Kennedy London with the Hall of Fame Award.
