    SABC shafts SAFTAs

    NEWSWATCH: You'll have to watch a recording of the fifth South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs) this year as the SABC has pulled the plug on a live broadcast, reports IOL, but there could be good news only next year as Mzansi Magic seems keen to do live broadcasts of the NFVF-organised awards, reports tvsa.co.za. On a different note, Kaya FM DJ Bob Mabena was arrested after joining in a protest over how the national flag was displayed on a billboard.
