Maghreb media professionals on Thursday (24 January 2013) wrapped up a two-day conference in Hammamet, Algeria by adopting a code of ethics, TAP reported.
Their final declaration called on regional governments to end the censorship of journalists and enact democratic laws that facilitate access to information.

Journalists from Africa, Europe and the US attended the event, which was organised by the EU delegation to Tunisia.
