ACT|UJ Conference invites applications for interns

The internships are available to entry-level arts professionals interested in gaining experience and skills in a professional environment. The positions will be full-time for two months (mid-January to mid-March), based at the ACT offices in Braamfontein. A monthly stipend will be offered, in line with industry standards.

The internships aim to reinforce professionalism and stable work ethics through the development of written, verbal and analytical skills. The two interns will gain understanding through experience of the practical application of theoretical knowledge. Focus areas include event planning and implementation, logistics, research, communication, marketing, monitoring and evaluation and networking.

"It has been encouraging to see how experience working within the context of this conference has directly led to some of our interns finding permanent placements within the arts environment," says CEO of ACT, Pieter Jacobs.

Applicants must be based in Johannesburg. Internship applications are due on or before Friday 5 December 2015.
