Serena Hotels has won the Best Hospitality, Travel and Tourism in Africa Award at the African Business Awards 2012 held recently in London. The awards celebrate excellence and best practices in African business and recognise organisations that have driven Africa's rapidly transforming economy.
The African Business Awards are organised by the African Business Magazine (ABM) and the Commonwealth Business Council (CBC).
Serena Hotels was recognised for making outstanding contribution to the development of the continent, the economic aspirations of its citizens, the transformation of Africa's image in international markets by branding the six destinations in which it operates as attractive tourism destinations and for providing the highest standards of service and product whilst operating in a sensitive manner towards monitoring the interests of the local population, including their traditions, culture and future development.
