Special sectionsIn the news | Hostex heads to the coastHostex, South Africa's Hospitality and Catering Exhibition, will be hitting Durban shores for the first time this year. The 2008 show will be taking place from 28 - 30 May at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) and at the Durban Exhibition Centre from 8 - 10 September. According to Lynn Chamier, exhibition director at Exhibitions for Africa, one of the year's most exciting developments is the establishment of the Durban event: "Hostex 2008 is being held in KwaZulu-Natal for the first time this year to create a presence in South Africa's three major cities and to afford regional businesses the opportunity to be part of this tried and tested exhibition with a 23-year history. "With the KwaZulu-Natal market showing consistent growth, the region increasing in popularity as a tourist destination and many boutique hotels and bed and breakfast establishments opening up, it made sense for Hostex KwaZulu-Natal to be launched as a regular fixture." The Mother City expo also promises to be 'bigger and better', with organisers, Exhibitions for Africa, opening up a new section of the CTICC's Hall 2 to expand the event. Confirmed exhibitors for Hostex Cape 2008 include Crabtree & Evelyn, Rug Warehouse and Waltex.
