Hostex, South Africa's Hospitality and Catering Exhibition, will be hitting Durban shores for the first time this year. The 2008 show will be taking place from 28 - 30 May at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) and at the Durban Exhibition Centre from 8 - 10 September.
According to Lynn Chamier, exhibition director at Exhibitions for Africa, one of the year's most exciting developments is the establishment of the Durban event: "Hostex 2008 is being held in KwaZulu-Natal for the first time this year to create a presence in South Africa's three major cities and to afford regional businesses the opportunity to be part of this tried and tested exhibition with a 23-year history.
"With the KwaZulu-Natal market showing consistent growth, the region increasing in popularity as a tourist destination and many boutique hotels and bed and breakfast establishments opening up, it made sense for Hostex KwaZulu-Natal to be launched as a regular fixture."
The Mother City expo also promises to be 'bigger and better', with organisers, Exhibitions for Africa, opening up a new section of the CTICC's Hall 2 to expand the event. Confirmed exhibitors for Hostex Cape 2008 include Crabtree & Evelyn, Rug Warehouse and Waltex.
