The Gold award was to Nampak Flexible in the category ‘Paper Products Coated over 500mm (Process).' This was for the Imana Cream of Vegetable Soup packaging. The Silver award, in the same category was for the Imana Chicken Noodle Soup. The company's Simba Popcorn (Savoury Butter flavour) also received a special mention from the FTASA judges in the Flexible Packaging Wide Web (Process) category.
These awards add to its recent four gold pack awards, including the trophy for printing excellence on flexible packaging for Simba's Sunbites Pretzels.
In the Corrugated Coated Offline (Process) category, Nampak Corrugated took home the Silver Award for its Corrugated Litterbin, developed for the Pick ‘n Pay Cape Argus Cycling Tour.
Made as an easy to erect, lightweight container, the bin earned its award by functioning not only as a litter collection point but also as a promotional tool. Through its flexographic print quality and large format print area, the bin provides prominent branding and messaging opportunities for event sponsors.
This also recently received a Special Trophy in Printing Excellence (Kraft) in the 2009 Gold Pack Awards Promotional/Novelty packaging category.
