New business in fleet management

Known as Imperial Fleet Management, a division of WesBank, it is designed to ensure a one-stop shop offering for fleet owners ranging from fleet consulting, full maintenance rental products, fuel cards to value added products and services, such as roadside assistance.

As one of the biggest motor vehicle retail brands in South Africa, Imperial has identified its fleet business as a vital strategic imperative. According to Hubert Brody, chief executive of Imperial Holdings, it estimates that 40% of the total vehicle market comprises fleet, government and car rental businesses.

"WesBank's more than 40 years of experience in fleet finance, shared culture of service delivery and performance and its comprehensive corporate vehicle solutions makes it the ideal partner,” he says.

"To stay relevant and accessible to our customers in the current economic climate remains a challenge. However, through our successful partnership strategy with leading South-African motor manufacturers, we continue to provide a sustainable value proposition to our customers. The new alliance therefore complements our partnership model and is a unique growth opportunity for both our businesses," says Brian Riley, chief executive of WesBank.
