Annie Philippeos has been appointed as centre manager and is also participating in tenant negotiations and development management.

Patrick Flanagan of Flanagan & Gerard says: “We're delighted to have Annie head up the Morningside Shopping Centre team. Annie has valuable property management experience gained at industry-leading companies, where she managed numerous shopping centre portfolios.”

He says Philippeos's involvement will ensure a smooth transition from a development project to an operational shopping centre during the current construction and leasing phase.

Philippeos says the centre will be kept operating optimally during the construction work.

The retailers at Morningside Shopping Centre have been hand picked, with most being personally run businesses.

Retailers include Extreme Eyewear, wine merchants The Fridge, imported American celebrity wear from Ayoka, German toy specialists Smith and Olive, the fashions of Rene Marianne, menswear from Gillani, gift store Lexon, jewellery from Constantine & Jacobs, hairdresser Swept, the Morningside Pharmacy and a Pick n Pay store inspired by the concept of bespoke shopping.

Also in the offing is Signature restaurant, Pomodoro Ristorante and Tashas.
