We start off this week by basking in the reflected dazzle of all of SA's One Show pencils and merit awards. Following Friday night's final award ceremony we have a final tally of 42 wins from 355 entries, broken down as 1 gold (also awarded the 'best of show' discipline award for radio), as well as 13 bronzes, 1 silver and 27 merit awards, securing us 10th spot overall in the country rankings. Called The Plus Network, Jessica Tennant chatted to president Alan VanderMolen and found out that it's rooted in the growing dissatisfaction with holding company agencies and their homogenised offering. James Hunt speaks of further industry innovation with the rise of the in-house creative agency, with publishers and an ever-increasing number of brands setting up their own in-house studios to service their own marketing needs.
