Put on your dancing shoes

Don your jester hat and polish up your dancing shoes; comedy and dance seem to be the predominant entertainment options this August!

Mass Hysteria, the comedy show that showcased a host of SA comedic rock stars, has been and gone in Jburg and Cape Town. If you missed these shows no worries, you can tickle your funny bone at the annual Nando's Comedy Festival in either Durban, Jburg, Soweto or Cape Town.

On the dance front, the iKapa Dance Theatre's collaboration with Afropolitan Explosiv; Inhale/Exhale is now playing at the Artscape; Debbie Hathway reviews this challenging but rewarding dance piece. At the Baxter Theatre Queen at the Ballet looks to be an entertaining and stylish production.

Marcello Adams and Justin Williams discuss EP influences and expectations with electro-trash DJ Haezer, who recently signed with Steve Aoki, the American electro house DJ and producer who is set to play South Africa in December. In other dance floor news international DJ's Tritonal and Simon Patterson will be debuting in Cape Town and Joburg this August and September respectively.

Cinema buff Daniel Dercksen reviews three diverse new releases; the action-packed Safe, creepy thriller Chernobyl Diaries and the Disney heart-warmer Brave.

Happy Women's Day for Thursday and for those rocking the Koppi of Oppi, party hard (but safe), we'll catch you there!
