SAMA loving

Happy Wednesday to you lifestyle lovers; I hope a relaxing Worker's Day was had by all.

Biggest news making waves in things entertainment are the SAMAs, which took place at Sun City this past Sunday and Monday; check out all the winners from the technical excellence awards and the artist awards. Congrats to all the winners! In other music news we chat to Joburg rockers Dead Alphabet, Johann Smith reviews Natasha Meister's debut album Half Way, and Jordan Scott reviews Plush's gig at the Assembly over the weekend.

On the automotive front Henrie Geyser reviews the new racy Rio sedan, and the locally produced entry-level Polo Vivo.

In movie news Daniel Dercksen is wildy complimentary of 3D Hollywood blockbuster The Avengers, as is Charles Siboto. Dercksen also reviews inspiring South African production A Million Colours, while Eugene Yiya takes a look at the BBC Earth film One Life.

On the theatrical side of things Dercksen interviews self-described theatre animal Jon Keevy about his latest production, Owl.

SAMA18 winners announced
With the technical excellence award winners announced on Sunday night, Monday, 30 April 2012 saw the artists bask in the limelight at this year's MTN South African Music Awards.
