I am word-smith. My love for storytelling and content creation is beyond words. I am poet and love standing in front of audiences and sharing presentations - I think my facilitation and training skills fuel up this passion.
My career has landed me in the simple yet complex world of Social Media. Which isn't understood by many, although many people think if you have a Facebook and Twitter account, you know what social media is yet sadly that's not true...
Working for loveLife was my first footprint in the sand of my career. I work as content producer for what was going to be South Africa's biggest social media application called MYMsta which is mostly referenced with Mxit, however it had a lot more to offer. My role required me to create and upload content on the CMS, content such as current news, movie and music reviews and the latest gossip. I had to manage a fast growing online community. Create competitions and select winners (Plan and implement prizes fulfilments).Manage applications database -research of new unique impression and user interactions. I worked for loveLife for duration of 2 years and left the organisation because of it mere lack of Social Media understanding at the time.
Freelanced for a while, and on my journey I stabled by a company called Don't Look Down which is contracted by DStvO manage their Online presence for the biggest reality show on the continent - Big Brother Africa. I join the team on Big Brother Season 8 as an online content moderator. Where I found myself managing the official @BigBroAfrica Twitter handle with about 471 000 followers as well as the official Big Brother Africa Facebook page with about 1 400 000people who like it, the role presented a unique challenge that I was only too happy to meet. I later worked for Mortimer Harvey as a Social Media Moderator.
I am currently working a Gendel as a Social Media Manger... managing social media platforms for our various clients.
