Hi Henk, In the interest of good market research practice and to do market research and marketing industries justice, I think it is vital that these facts are made known here (in public) and not only to individuals as and when they ask for it. Transparency would be appreciated by all people in our industries.
Thanks Henk but I still think this was poor journalism not informing the readers how the research is done. All it states is 5 or 10 questions, a sample of n=400, 4 hours for your report. Nowhere did it say that it is a panel, how the panel was recruited, the characteristics / demographics of the panel and the methodology used (cell phones?) to collect the data. This article should have informed the readers about these crucial aspects of this research methodology. To me it seems like an advertorial. Once again, poor journalism!
How shabby can research become just for the sake of quick results!!!! No indication in this article of the methodology?
Tom I totally agree with you! There is a room and a place for traditional techniques where new technology cannot be used. Some people should not use technology just for the sake of technology!
