Brad was born in Pietermaritzburg and studied at the world famous Drakensberg Boys Choir School before returning to complete his matric at Carter High School. While in high school he sang with the KZN Youth Choir where he was awarded KZN Colours for Music. Following a National Diploma in Architecture at Technikon Natal he joined Hulett Aluminium's (now Hulamin) architectural products division where he spent 3 valuable years in marketing. During this time he was actively involved in events and completed a part time Diploma in Sport Management before moving onto full time event management at the Comrades Marathon Association.
Not being satisfied with stagnating on one event, or one sports code, Brad continued his involvement with the Dusi Canoe Marathon, Midmar Mile and with events in general where he received his KZN colours for Athletics.
2003 saw the launch of Unbranded Consulting and an almost seamless transition into event consulting and management as Unbranded's client base grew to include the Joburg 94.7 Cycle Challenge, Amashova Cycle Classic, Midmar Mile, Comrades International Team, Dusi Canoe Marathon, SPAR Women's races (Durban & Maritzburg ), the Durban Airshow and a first of its kind event, the iMfolozi MTB Challenge through the world famous iMfolozi Game Reserve.
Brad developed his love for music while studying at the Drakensberg Boys Choir School and given an opportunity by Cameron Mackenzie to get involved with the Parklane SUPERSPAR sponsored concert series, Brad leapt at the opportunity. Working closely with Christopher Duigan (a Steinway Artist), the maestro behind the music, Brad provides the "behind the scenes" support for the Music Revival Concert series. He is also actively involved as Special Projects Director at the Drakensberg Boys Choir where he has successfully raised over R25 million for new facilities and the school's bursary programme.
