A television channel in Brazil removed the main character from one of its old shows to raise awareness about child abandonment. SBT do Bem (SBT) removed Chavo from a special episode of El Chavo del Ocho on the 35th anniversary of the series in the country, which also happened to fall on Childhood Day.

After selecting compatible scenes from more than 200 chapters, WMCann used the technique of rotoscoping to remove Chavo, creating a new story.
