Beating ad-blockers and transit advertising trends - 28 Nov 2016

By Leigh Andrews

Beating ad-blockers and transit advertising trends - Mon, 28 Nov 2016With frustration at the rising nature of targeted ads hitting us everywhere online, we've seen an abundance of ad-blocking software. That's good for the consumer, bad for the advertiser. Here, Chiara di Rago shares three ways brands can ensure their ads don't drive consumers to download that ad-blocking software.

Beverley Klein chats to this week's #Newsmaker, Shamendran Naidu. Part of the Provantage Media Group since 2009, he's just been appointed executive at their Transit Ads™ division. Naidu shares his plans to educate the industry on the evolution of the SA transport industry, such as on the growth opportunities and new advertising environments offered by new modes of transport such as BRT systems and the Gautrain.

I also continue my weekly #Loeries2016 wrap-up, this week exploring Loeries' rankings with Arcade Content's co-founder and director Lebogang Rasethaba, an especially insightful read as production companies like Arcade are responsible for much of the work that gets those big award show accolades.

Read up and get ready for an exciting final month of the year!
