Keeping it in the family in Big Boys Don't Dance
[Thiru N] Be warned! If you don't want to feel like a kid don't watch this show. It will blow you away, take you back to the 80s and bring you to the generation of I Am Dancer. If you are newlywed, just recently dating, have kids of your own, or if you are the really cool aunt/uncle, take your loved ones to watch Big Boys Don't Dance - it'll create lasting memories this holiday and will have you so inspired you may need to keep your dancing shoes on standby. 21 Dec 2011 09:41
It's a kind of magic!
Twenty-five years, 50 awards, 149 cities, 100 million viewers. With numbers like these, you'd be a fool to miss Phantom of the Opera, showing at the Arstcape in Cape Town until 14 January and at Montecasino in Johannesburg from 31 January. 20 Dec 2011 09:52
Rabinowitz takes a stand, but delivery lacks punch line
[Sindy Peters] I'm not sturvy when it comes to comedy, but Nik Rabinowitz' Stand and Deliver comedy show was rather droog. I'm probably one of many kinners in the audience that found it erg. And if you're not from Cape Town, or you haven't befriended anyone who understands the Cape Coloured lingo, that intro's probably lost on you. It's how I felt at the opening show last night - I was unable to relate to most of Rabinowitz' material. 15 Dec 2011 14:19
Breathtakingly beautiful ballet
[Debbie Hathway] When it comes to watching world-class local ballet performances, it's long been at the stage where Cape Dance Company (CDC) is a sure bet. Now, however, with the addition of experienced professional dancers, Simone Muller, Grant van Ster and Marlin Zoutman earlier this year, the company has become a more cohesive whole since its last Cape Town season at the Masque Theatre, Muizenberg - settled, focused, impeccably turned out, superbly trained. In short, phenomenal. 5 Dec 2011 09:48
The Evil Queen is dead. Long live the Queen!
[Sindy Peters] Was the "Evil" Queen in Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs really as evil as your mum or dad made her out to be at bedside storytime or was it all just a load of propaganda cooked up by seven vertically challenged men? Finally Snow White's stepmother gets the opportunity to share her side of the story in Dianne Simpson's "Rose Red". 11 Nov 2011 13:37

Sex, relationships, humour and misery
[Johann Smith] Admit it, you love misery. We all do. The feeling you hate, but wallow in - that appears with the sudden realisation that you have lost that which once made you happy, is now gone, and the tears become all that remains of your former joy. 17 Oct 2011 11:12
In The Wings
[Jordan Scott] In The Wings moved me in a way that not many performances are able to do in the space of an hour. The story is about a girl named Kath who suffers from cerebral palsy, her sister Joe and their mother. Although Kath is disabled it doesn't stop the girls from having a relationship just as any other two sisters might have. The jokes they make, annoying their mum and how, even though Kath has cerebral palsy, she is perfect in the eyes of her sister and mother. 12 Oct 2011 10:06
