    DnA Africa kicks off

The Designer and Agent Showcase Africa (DnA Africa) opens today at Zen in Maboneng Precinct in Johannesburg. The show promotes emerging and established African fashion designers and their brands and hopes to connect them to local and international fashion buyers, giving them a stepping-stone to the retail industry.

The four-day programme includes presentations from the Dad Fund on Entrepreneurship, funding opportunities from Enablis and fashion designer Craig Jacobs, who will be sharing his journey of his career in the fashion industry. Visitors to be entertained by live performances from emerging artists such as Shan the Krump Barbie, Major League DJs, Lex Lafoy, DJ Flava and many more.

The Maboneng Precinct has been handpicked as the ideal venue for this event, as it is fast becoming a Johannesburg capital for local and pan African designers. The event will be further complemented by the offerings in the neighbourhood throughout the weekend, with a number of places for guests to eat and shop before and after visiting the expo.

The showcase continues until 4 August 2013 daily, from 9am-5pm. Tickets are R50 at the door.
