    Car dealer bags award

Award targets dealers of Mercedes in Africa and is measured against sales, service delivery and overall customer satisfaction.

DT Dobie has become the first country in Africa to win the coveted Daimler Chrysler award two times in a row. The award is targeted at dealers of Mercedes in Africa and is measured against sales, service delivery and overall customer satisfaction.

The feat brought about by the company's investment of over US$2.5m in refurbishment of the showroom and workshops with KSh9m being invested every year for the latest vehicle equipment. An additional KSh30m has been spent on the company's training school that has seen the company gain status as the center of training for Mercedes in Africa.

DT Dobie has scored highly in the categories of Franchise Standards, Unit sales target, parts turnover training and Marketing. DT Dobie Kenya came in first place after having scored an overall 170 points with DT Dobie Tanzania coming in second with 123 points. Third place was taken by Southern Cross Motors of Uganda with 110 points.

“We are extremely proud of our achievement which is proof to our customers that they are getting the best in terms of sales and after sales delivery. As part of our campaign to ensure that we have world class operations, we have further invested in our Nakuru showroom with a refurbishment budget of KSh32.5m and our Mombasa showroom which recently won the Clio award in service and procedure excellence has seen DT Dobie investing over KSh40m,” said Zarak Khan Managing Director DT Dobie.

DT Dobie is the leader in sales of luxury vehicles with the motor company accounting for 50% of the total sales in the high-end segment. “Contrary to common perceptions on Mercedes sales, the private sector accounts for 80%, with the government accounting for only 20% of total sales” added Khan.
