Contact SABC to get matric results

Matriculants and their families can use the Newsbreak automated SMS and voice results services to obtain their final exam results as soon as it is released by the Independent Examination Board (IEB) on 29 December and by the Department of Basic Education on 3 January 2013. All they have to do is to pre-register via SMS and detailed results will be sent back to them on the day of release.

Students can immediately start sending the word DBE or IEB followed by their ID number to 35935, at R3 per SMS. They will receive a return SMS asking for an exam number for them to receive detailed results. They can also call 082 152 on the day the results are released, select option 6, punch in their ID and exam numbers and the results will be relayed.
