The new Vanessa Gounden store reveals the intrinsic fusion of art and fashion, offering customers a sensory retail experience. Inspiration for the interior is derived from a gallery backdrop, with collections displayed on aerial rails and their story clearly communicated on each garment. With a minimalistic interior and an abundance of natural light, attention is drawn to the vivid prints and colours that are the focus of each design. Displayed in the store is the iconic SS15 My Africa collection, which offers a riot of colour combined with unique prints and designs.
Founded by one of South Africa's most successful female entrepreneurs, Vanessa Gounden was launched in 2011 in London and has previously been seen on women such as Yasmin le Bon, Jade Jagger, Poppy Delevingne and Natalia Vodianova; all of whom reflect Vanessa's ideals of strong women who have an appreciation of the arts and dressing in a considered manner.
"After seven years in the fashion industry I could not be more elated to be launching my first flagship store in London on Conduit St - the epicentre of luxury shopping for so many. I have been deeply involved in the creation of the store in order to ensure that it achieves everything that we wanted to portray. The status of the flagship in bringing together art, fashion and technology was the key to ensure that my customers have the best shopping experience, alongside providing a bespoke service," said Gounden.
