Cashbuild's second-quarter revenue up 4%

Southern African building materials retailer Cashbuild (CSB) reported revenue up 4% in the second quarter of the 2014 financial year‚ compared to the second quarter of the prior financial year‚ the company said in a trading update on Monday, 27 January 2014.

Cashbuild is in the process of finalising its results for the half-year ended December 2013.

"Altogether 16 new were opened since July 1 2012‚ which contributed 4% of the increase‚ whilst 191 existing stores remained at similar levels to the prior year. This‚ together with the growth reported in the first quarter‚ equates to an increase in revenue for the half year of 7%‚" the company said.
