Hot variety of fashion coming

Do you dress in style? Are you up with the latest fashions? Then get to Mdantsane City Mall in NU6; it officially opens on April 24. And while you're about it... feel like enjoying a meal?

Fashionistas get ready, when the Mdantsane City Mall in NU6 officially opens on April 24, there will be no need to go to town to shop.

Among the 106 shops set to open in the new multimillion-rand mall will be clothing and footwear stores such as Miladys, Truworths, Foschini, Exact, Markham and A&D Spitz.

“Mdantsane City Mall is a bigger shopping centre than malls like the Vincent Park shopping centre,” said Gavin Tagg, the retail strategist from Retail Network Service who is overseeing the leasing and the mix of tenants for the mall.

“Shoppers will be offered a nice mix because there are up-market clothing stores and some that will offer clothes at a bargain (price).”

Bargain hunters will be able to shop for clothes at Pep Stores, Ackermans and Mr Price. There will be two hair salons in the mall, including Images, which has branches in Sandton, Midrand and Menlyn in Johannesburg and Pretoria.

“... We did extensive consumer research and we found out that this mix of up-market and more affordable shops is exactly what the consumer wants,” Tagg said. “In consultation with all major fashion brands, we determined the number of account holders these brands have that are based in Mdantsane.”

Other tenants at the mall include Clicks, Bears, Fruit and Veg City, Musica, Debonairs Pizza and Nando's.
