Don't miss this vibrant Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
Don't miss this vibrant Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

Lies breed lies in the Constantiaberg Theatre Players striking Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. This first-rate production is only on for one week at the cosy Masque Theatre, so cancel all other theatre events and take a trip to Muizenberg where you will experience an evening of full-blooded theatre.

Music and emotion: A soprano on song
Music and emotion: A soprano on song

Million Dollar Arm is a winner
Million Dollar Arm is a winner

Tea by the sea
Tea by the sea

Seated in the Palm Court, I was reminded of my Zululand days, drinking tea on the veranda of our farmhouse; from the familiar wicker chairs with floral cushions to the Colonial-style rattan-weave slow-turning fans. The chandeliers - purchased from The Savoy in London, excuse me - were a reminder, too, that I was actually having afternoon tea at The Oyster Box.

Serene and superb Sanbona
Serene and superb Sanbona

It's a still-and-sunny Saturday afternoon, golden light bathes the bush, the smell of Renosterveld fynbos and dust is in the air as we silently approach a wild cheetah family gorged on a recently felled eland. The family (mother and kids) are lethargic stuffed full of the kill and sensibly enjoying an afternoon rest up after their large family lunch.
