Don't get in a state...

...with the road closures if you are anywhere near Cape Town this Thursday, 9 February 2012 - just check the list of roads to be closed for Jacob Zuma's State of the Nation address.

On the investment front, critics are up in arms over what they say are Transnet delays that are costing SA billions, and on the mining front, Mineral Resources Minister Susan Shabangu says the mining industry must transform.

On the security front, there have been complaints that the secrecy bill has not been explained properly.

Warning to motorists ahead of SONA
Several streets will be closed to traffic in the Cape Town city centre ahead of the State of the Nation Address in Parliament on Thursday, authorities have warned. President Jacob Zuma will deliver the annual speech during a joint seating of the National Assembly to be broadcast at 7pm. Road construction under pressure due to bitumen shortage
South Africa is currently facing a bitumen supply shortage which has had drastic implications on road maintenance and road repairs over the past couple of months.
