SAA flies into flak

At this rate there will be very few, if any, of the current SAA board left after CEO Siza Mzimela quit, closely followed yesterday by the resignations of commercial general manager Theunis Potgieter, and legal and risk head Sandra Coetzee.

On the technology front, America's National Science Foundation has created a new program to find new paths forward for sustainable energy.

Nelson Mandela's car to be auctioned for school library project
Former president Nelson Mandela's BMW 7 Series security vehicle has been donated to the 46664 Mandela Day School Library project. The customised BMW 7 series, which was given to the former president by BMW, will be auctioned in the coming months. Sandton Sun, Owl Rescue Centre successful in rehabilitation programme
In March this year, the Owl Rescue Centre installed a hacking aviary on the roof of the Sandton Sun Hotel in Johannesburg with the purpose of reintroducing rehabilitated owls that originated from the Sandton area back into their natural habitat.
