Chefs, break out the knives; designers, get your scissors and tape measures - the competition is on! For the culinary artistes, McCain's 2011 Tribute to Good Taste cook-off has launched with a twist this year: all three courses on the menu must include the brand's new sweet potato chips or chunks. For the fashion fundis, Mr Gay SA is calling on designers in the LGBTI community to submit their designs for the opportunity to dress Francois Nel, Mr Gay SA himself, at the upcoming Mr Gay World in Manila, Philippines. With the delay in the implementation of the Consumer Protection Act, the Marketing Association of SA has sent out an urgent call for any last comments or suggestions with regards to regulations of promotional competitions. If you don't have anything to add, then use this time to make sure your business is compliant with the Act. There's also still time to get your proposals in for changes to the Codes of Advertising Practice, but don't wait too long, submissions close in February.
