David Boon
David Boon commented on Africa leads in experiential marketing

Why would Richard Knight - as MD of Lowe Lintas Nigeria - support or comment on something that would be VWV contrived? Perhaps he understands the bigger picture of uniting the marketing community of Africa, and of experiential marketing. You are wrong in all that you assume. The goal of the awards is to truly recognise experiential marketing, put something together for all in Africa, something that correctly evaluates and measures the effectiveness of the activation (not on creativity alone), and something that assists marketers in their understanding of how experiential marketing can and should be used in a Brands strategic plan. VWV understand this and have participated in the development of the awards as a partner. So have Exp., whose network of offices across Africa was also used to assist with the launch programme. Apart from this involvement, neither VWV or Exp will have any influence in the awards as this will be determined by a selected commitee of African marketers. If you would like to know anything more relating to the awards, please do not hesitate to contact Sylvia Newby on (011) 795 2955.
