The 16th Annual MTN South African Music Awards (SAMAs) will take place in April, 2010. Nominations have already opened and will close on Friday, 27 November 2009. 
Indie record label, Seed (Sheer Sound) and acoustic-electro pop/rock band, jacSharp have re-released the album, “Technicolour”, which is the band's debut album. 
South African rock ‘n rollers, Taxi Violence, are now touring South Africa having returned from a three week tour of Europe, mainly covering Germany and Holland. 
South African guitarist Albert Frost, has joined the Seed catalogue. Frost is an all-round guitarist who has released his debut solo studio album, “Devils and Gods”, earlier this year. 
Durban-based pop/rock band, Fire Through The Window, have released a follow up to their 2007 eponymous debut album. Entitled “Hey!”, it features 11 newly recorded tracks, some of which were singles from the original release. 
South African rock band, The Dirty Skirts, are going to Dubai next week from to perform at the Middle East music industry conference and festival, Dubai Sound City, held 5 - 7 November 2009, along with fellow SA group, The Parlotones. 
A brand new V&A Waterfront Signature Event, the AQUAFestival, is a three-week long music and entertainment festival, set on a floating aquatic stage, which will showcase contemporary opera, ballet, jazz, rock, pop, tribute shows and a daily circus from 15 December until 6 January 2010. 
The D'Aria Summer Concert Series 2009 will bring you some of the best SA musicians on stage at a breathtaking new venue, together with the best wines and delicious picnics on the lawn till sunset. 
The Forbidden Fruit Music Festival will be held 13 - 15 November 2009 at Klein Plasie in Worcester. The scheduled line-up consists of 18 South African artists, including Zebra & Giraffe, Prime Circle, Cherry Vinyl, Just Jinger, aKING, Kurt Darren, Josie Field. 
November's MTV base night will be held at Latinova in Rosebank, Gauteng, and is themed as "I'm hot and you're not". Da L.E.S, will be MCing the event.
