A life-size bronze sculpture of musician Kippie Moeketsi was unveiled by MEC Nelisiwe Mbatha Mtimkulu in the Market Theatre Precinct, Newtown, Johannesburg earlier this week. The 2009 Tollman Award for the Visual Arts has been awarded to photographer, Sabelo Mlangeni. Mlangeni will be granted an amount of R100 000 to spend as he wishes; to produce new work, travel, study or produce a publication.
