Fancy feathers and bejewelled outfits, fire performers, acrobats, and jugglers – plus some humour supplied by comedians Aaron McIlroy and Lisa Bobbert – was the setting for the ceremony attended by more than 230 guests.

Some of the top award recipients for 2016 included:

    • The Peninsula All Suite Hotel in Sea Point, Cape Town – Best Large Resort
    • The Mjejane Bush Camp in Malelane, Mpumalanga – Best Medium-Sized Resort
    • Chris Godenir, GM of The Peninsula All Suite Hotel – Resort Manager of the Year
    • Winchester Marketing – Overall Top Ownership Agency
    • Dream It Marketing – Top Dream Vacation Club Membership Agency

Among other awards presented were Top Three Shared Ownership Consultants, Top Ten Dream Vacation Club Membership Overall Sales Awards and Top 10 Dream Vacation Club Membership New Sales Awards.

Two new awards – a leadership and an innovation award - were introduced this year aimed at rewarding Dream Hotels & Resorts employees. Recipients were recognised for their guidance and development of fellow staff/agents in delivering exceptional guest service, growth, scalability, cost-saving or improvement of a client’s servicing by means of innovation, thinking bigger and out-the-box.
