AxizWorkgroup honoured with SmartXchange SMME Award

14 Dec 2012 06:22
Based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, SmartXchange is a section 21 non-profit information and communications technology hub established to promote and support the region's vision to be the technology hub of Africa.
The organisation runs a structured entrepreneur support programme that focuses on developing BBBEE businesses through discussion forums, skills development forums, events and information dissemination. SmartXchange opened in July 2004 and has grown significantly. Today, it is recognised as one of the world's leading incubators for developing countries.

The SmartXchange Technology Day took place on 6 December at the Durban Botanical Gardens where ICT vendors had the chance to exhibit their products and services to partners from the private sector technology industry, tertiary institutions, SMME support agencies and government departments.

After the inaugural launch of Technology Day 2012, the SmartXchange SMME Awards took place, where AxizWorkgroup was named the Most Supportive Corporate of 2012. The award was bestowed upon AxizWorkgroup as a result of their continued support of SmartXchange's programmes through providing equipment, skills and support on an on-going basis.
