Huawei launches pink Ascend P6 smartphone

Huawei recently unveiled the Huawei Ascend P6 Pink. The Ascend P6 launched locally in August this year in black and white, and has been labelled as one of the world's slimmest smartphones measuring 6.18mm, making it perfect to slip in to any handbag or fashion clutch, or even the skinniest of jeans pockets.

The smartphone features an Android 4.2.2 operating system, 2000mAh battery, a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, a sleek metallic body, a 4.7-inch high-definition in-cell display, industry-leading 5MP front-facing camera, and outstanding software. It also features "MagicTouch" for enhanced screen responsiveness even when wearing gloves.

    Subtle yet elegant

"Based on our market research, the pink colour has proven to be most popular amongst women of all age groups and backgrounds, and in some cases more popular than the standard black or white," said Liza de Wet, marketing director of Huawei Device: South Africa Region. "The shade of pink used is subtle yet elegant, ensuring a more premium look."

As the flagship smartphone of the Huawei Ascend P series, the Huawei Ascend P6 embodies a cutting-edge design for the fashion conscious. The smartphone's brushed metallic look with a naturally curved base is both elegant and intuitive.

The pink version is available in South Africa through Vodacom Shops and Edgars stores nationwide at a retail price of approximately R5,000.
