Dr Brian Armstrong, managing director of Telkom Business says the new service will improve productivity and efficiency for those companies that need the convenience of fixed-line and mobile connectivity.
He says that more than 80% of mobile calls are made from a fixed location, resulting in Telkom's drive to fixed-mobile convergence. The telecommunications company has about 140 000 kilometres of fixed-line infrastructure and is now bundling mobile services into its fixed-line infrastructure.
Telkom says it is offering savings of at least 21% for businesses around the country.
