This R450m project involves the construction of two 'green' buildings with a combined space offering of 18,049m².

Revelstone director, Alex Cyprianos, says over 5,000m² Jura straight edge precast concrete pavers (680 x 440 x 45mm) were supplied for paving the perimeter walkways as well as the upper level terraces.

"The charcoal, grey and carbon coloured pavers compliment the dark glass, steel and concrete facades of the two buildings. In addition, Revelstone's suite of complementary paving products which included Jura edging, special demarcation pavers, Devon steps, perforated and etched straight edge pavers, as well as steel re-enforced pavers for stormwater drainage, were installed at Bridge Park," Cyprianos explained.

Specified by architects

Cyprianos said the Jura straight edge pavers were specified by the architects, DHK Architects, for three essential reasons: "Their straight edges make them ideal for the straight jointing as specified by the architects; safety - the pavers come with a user friendly non-slip finish; ease of maintenance - steel re-enforced pavers which can be easily lifted for cleaning purposes, were specified for the stormwater channels."

Cyprianos said the Jura range forms part of Revelstone's Engineered product range, first launched in September 2014.

"Our engineered product range offers architects and developers tailor-made products which harmonise with and offset some of the unique design properties found in today's architecture. We kicked off the range with our Jura pavers and tiles. These were followed by parapet capping, pool and pond edging, Devon steps, kerbing and the new perforated drainage paver.
