Valentine's Day in the Cape Quarter

4 Feb 2010 12:35Submit a commentBizLike
The magic of romance has arrived at Cape Quarter on Somerset Road and Waterkant Street with the whole Quarter getting into the mood with themed specials or customised Valentine's Day menus.
Bedecked and beribboned the celebration of love is from store to store and with Valentine specials even the air is brimming with romance! Look out for the heart theme that runs through the stores and shop for those romantic gestures that could make this Valentine's Day the most memorable yet.

Little love gifts could be yours as you wander across The Square and The Piazza during the week. “Love is in the air” with the specially designed themed décor, and buskers to entertain you as you shop or enjoy chilling out at one of the many restaurants.

Hearts

An exhibition of “Hearts” in all their passionate forms, by Stuart Valentine, will be launching on 10 February. His quirky contemporary art will be displayed throughout the centre to add to the romance of the week.

Getting into the mood, the restaurants have come up with a gloriously tantalising Valentine's Day menu designed to captivate your love.

Greek passion

You can spend time on The Square enjoying an informal Italian delicacy from BICCCS, a special fine-dining experience from Vanilla, a French contemporary meal from Voila!, a superb offering from Cru Café, Greek passion at Kuzina or a tea party at Lazari, Valentine's Day. Add to that from The Piazza; Latin American passion at Fiesta Tapas Café Bar, country classics at Chenin Restaurant & Wine Bar, gorgeous sushi and Middle Eastern delicacies at Tank Restaurant/Sushi Bar or an enticing dinner for two at Andiamo Deli Restaurant & Bar.

If music be the food of love then we've got it all as our musicians gently enhance the most romantic day of the year from noon through to 3pm on The Piazza and The Square. Cape Quarter offers the most romantic experience.
