The Department of Sport and Recreation South Africa and the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ Organising Committee of South Africa invite all media to the 2010 Mass Mobilisation and Legacy Road Show, to be held as follows:
Date: 27 and 28 February 2009
Venue: Sauer Park, Aliwal North and Dampie Adams Stadium, Queenstown respectively
Time: 10h00 for both events

The inaugural road show took place in Galeshewe, Kimberley, on 27 January 2009. Plans have commenced to take the road shows to the remaining provinces.

The main purpose of the road shows is to popularise South Africa's hosting of both the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup™ and the 2010 FIFA World Cup™, and to get South Africans directly involved in both events. The road shows also serve as an opportunity to share information on such important matters as ticketing and match schedules.

Sport and Recreation Minister Rev. Makhenkhesi Stofile will make a keynote speech at the events. The 2010 Ambassadors Phillemon Masinga, Mark Fish, Desiree Ellis and Doctor Khumalo will also be present. Zakumi, the 2010 Mascot, will also grace the occasions.
