Cape Town restaurant buys seven tons of crayfish

The Oyo Restaurant & Cocktail Bar at Cape Town's V&A Hotel stylish has bought a seven-ton pre-allocation of crayfish in order to secure its share of the summer's crayfish season.
Equating to 14 000 portions of crayfish tails, chef Sanel Esterhuizen and her team are shirking off global recession rumblings and preparing for a bumper season.

Available from 1 October, and for the duration of summer, the king of seafood will be available seven days a week for lunch and dinner and is priced at R185 for a 500g portion, served with a selection of delicious buttered sauces or presented simply chilled with a home-made mayonnaise.
