This festive season SpongeBob SquarePants will come to life on stage in the international theatrical production of Nickelodeon's SpongeBob SquarePants: The Sponge Who Could Fly. Shows will be in Joburg and Cape Town.
The 90-minute show promises lots of colourful action as SpongeBob pursues his lifelong dream to fly with the Pacific Ocean jellyfish. SpongeBob is assisted in his endeavours by the much-loved Bikini Bottom gang: Sandy Squirrel, cantankerous Squidward Tentacles, the ever-robust Mr Krabs and SpongeBob's best friend Patrick Star.

The show was written by Steven Banks, head writer and story editor of the television series and features original songs and adaptations from composer and lyricist Eban Schletter.

Gip Hoppe is responsible for original direction and Jenn Rapp for original choreography, David Gallo for set design, Mirenda Rada for costume design and Paul Rubin for the design of the flying sequence.
