Beatenberg &Union& Union Restaurant has announced its line-up of bands for November 2009, including Beatenburg, one of Cape Town hottest up-and-coming bands, who will play on Saturday, 7 November from 8pm onwards. "Beatenberg is a band. We make pop music, but we like serious music, but we're also serious about our pop music. Matthew Field sings and plays the guitar, Ross Dorkin plays the bass and sings while Robin Brink drums and shouts. We are good and honest guys; we drink Windhoek after our gigs, not before." The following week, Saturday the 14th, Flat Stanley will be performing a four-piece acoustic set. The band will include Andy Mac on vocals, alongside Clint and Niel on acoustic guitar and Rob on cello. This highly acclaimed band has received a SAMA nomination as well as completing a tour with the Counting Crows.
